Grand Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
$25.00 / bottle
For our Grand Barossa wines we select grapes grown throughout the Barossa and its sub-regions. It is this tapestry of ‘terroirs’ which enables us to create our classic and refined house style.
TASTING NOTES
Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and vanilla are accompanied by vibrant, dark berry fruits on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from 15 months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels.
Although drinking well now, this wine may be cellared for up to ten years from vintage.

The grapes sourced for this delicious warm climate Cabernet Sauvignon come from throughout the Barossa region. Maturation is usually in a mix of new and older French/American oak barrels for a period of a year and a half.
Dark vibrant purple in colour, the nose reveals aromas of plums, mocha, coffee grinds, bay leaves, cigar boxes, chocolate, cloves, blackberries and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate we see the emergence of hints of dried herbs and kirsch. There is excellent length and good concentration throughout, leading to dusty tannins on the finish. The wine will be better in two years, if you can leave it, and then drink it for the following decade. Excellent buying.

It's immediately appealing on the nose with aromas of Black Doris plum, ripe cherry, olive, clove, and toasted nuts. The palate delivers a plump mouthfeel, succulent fruit intensity, and polished tannins, making it well-structured with a lengthy, finely dry finish. At its best: now to 2034.

Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
Leafy, Aussie bush notes with a light dusting of dried herbs introduce an aroma-rich young cabernet boasting dark berries, dusty cocoa, earth and spice. It’s bright and breezy, medium bodied and lightly spiced with strong varietal markers leading the way across the palate with well-proportioned tannins in tow. Good quality at every step and the best part is its immediate drinking appeal.

Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Deep, saturated purple-red colour with a pronounced herbal aroma that hints at tomato bush and grape stalks,
while the palate is medium-full bodied and bold, with drying tannins providing a solid grip and a smidgin of bitterness.
The palate is where it all happens. A solid Barossa cabernet that already drinks well and will take some age to advantage.
