Triathlon Cabernet Merlot Shiraz 2021

The grapes were destemmed but not crushed and spent ten days on their skins in open fermenters to gently extract colour, flavour and tannin. Each parcel is fermented separately and gently basket pressed prior to 16 months maturation in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels.

The three varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz seamlessly combine elegance, power and structure.  Cabernet Sauvignon brings tannin and texture, Merlot adds fruit flavour and intensity, and Shiraz brings lift and spice. The long-lasting flavours of blackberries, blueberry, chocolate and spice are well integrated from barrel maturation.
