WINEMAKING
Hand-crafted using small open fermenters, gently basket pressed, and matured in fine American oak for 18 months. The American oak produces a richer, more opulent wine with rounder tannins and more overt oak influence showing depth and complexity in the Old Vine Shiraz 2023.
TASTING NOTES
This rich and concentrated Barossa Shiraz boasts bold dark berry fruits, subtle notes of spiced oak, and fine-grained tannins. Enjoy now or cellar up to 10 years from vintage.

Just love the ’24 vintage and all it offers. This one is a quite beautiful wine. Made in quite traditional ways with open fermentation and basket pressing, then aged for 18 months in American oak, historically the traditional oak of the Barossa. Has the richness and concentration of the Barossa, but it expresses with a lovely spicy, vibrant lift. Fine-grain supportive tannins are sweet and slightly vanillin, but the oak is well integrated. Harnesses a most impressive expression of the Barossa. Cellar: 12 years

Another wine new to the range to help celebrate the Estate's 135th anniversary. Maturation here was for a year and a half in American oak.
A maroon/purple hue, this is appealingly fragrant with notes of cigar boxes, black fruits, dried herbs and root vegetables. A wine of good focus, plush oak, medium length and satiny tannins, this will provide attractive drinking anytime over the next ten to fifteen years. An excellent Barossa Valley Shiraz.
