We’re delighted to share a double celebration at Château Tanunda this week!
First, we’ve been honoured as the #7 Best Winery Experience in Australia in the Halliday People’s Choice Awards 2026 — a proud recognition voted by wine lovers across the country. This award celebrates not only the wines we produce, but the warm, immersive experience we offer our guests at our historic home in the Barossa and our Sydney Cellar Door.
And the newly released Halliday Wine Companion 2026 has brought more exciting news:
Château Tanunda has once again retained its prestigious 5 Star Winery rating, with 14 wines scoring between 90 and 95 points, and 15 wines overall receiving 90+ points.
This is a fantastic achievement and a true testament to the talent, precision, and dedication of our entire wine team — from vineyard to bottle.
⭐ “These results are a reflection of the incredible passion and commitment behind every wine we make. Thank you and congratulations to our winemaking and viticultural teams — this is your success.” Managing Director Michelle Geber
As we continue to celebrate our 135th Anniversary Year, these recognitions reinforce our mission: to honour the legacy of the Barossa while crafting world-class wines and unforgettable experiences and attest Château Tanunda’s position as a true icon of the Barossa, continuing to deliver exceptional wine and hospitality, vintage after vintage.
