Winemaking

Langhorne Creek enjoys a history that dates back to the 1860's. The river delta landscape that showcases spectacular vineyard sites and has a large collection of generational wine growing families, contributing to the winemaking culture of the region.

Langhorne Creek wineries are known for producing wine that is approachable reasonably early, and for cellaring (approximately) to mid-term, rather than long term. That being said, some of the more traditional, generational Langhorne Creek wineries have marquee wines that are known to cellar for extremely long periods, with great drinking success.

Langhorne Creek has the capacity to produce excellent fruit from most varieties and this merlot shows the versatility of this significant region. Perfumed forest cake aromas with a lick of chocolate and dark cherry. The seamless palate extends effortlessly to a long easy finish, gently caressing as it goes.
