Grand Barossa Chardonnay 2025
$25.00 / bottle
WINEMAKING
The grapes were picked early to retain freshness and acidity. A small portion of the Chardonnay was fermented in seasoned French oak adding depth, complexity and structure to the wine.
TASTING NOTES
Aromas of citrus fruits, melon and white peach lead to bright tropical fruit flavours on the palate with refreshing acidity. On the finish hints of vanilla and cashew nut are derived from partial new French oak barrel maturation.

Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Chardonnay 2025
Packs a lot into its price point, including the exotic, which takes it above your average $25 Aussie chardonnay. Dusty lemon citrus and earthy aromas combine with grilled grapefruit, lemon curd and a light sprinkling of herbal notes. Each return to the glass reveals that little bit more. A foundation of citrus and apple is lifted by earthy ginger and lemongrass under the influence of a leesy almond nuttiness which, in turn, brings a touch of savouriness. Creamy and complex, it hits a lot of the right chardonnay notes, including an ability to go with a range of foods. 92pts

Charming and elegantly fragrant with ripe peach, rockmelon, nougat, and almond meal nuances on the nose. The palate displays succulent fruit flavours and fleshy texture, well supported by fine acidity, making it harmonious and lingering. Beautifully composed and immediately appealing. At its best: now to 2029.
