Adelaide, South Australia – 2 September
Château Tanunda, Icon of the Barossa, has been awarded the South Australian Wine Export Award at the prestigious 2025 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards.
The South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards recognise outstanding businesses contributing to the state’s economic growth through innovation, resilience, and international success.
Château Tanunda Managing Director Michelle Geber accepted the award on behalf of the family-owned winery, which is proudly celebrating its 135th anniversary this year.
“It is a great honour to accept the South Australian Wine Exporter of the Year Award on behalf of our family business, Château Tanunda,” said Ms Geber.
“As we celebrate 135 years, we remain committed to sharing the very best wines of the Barossa, South Australia, and Australia with the world.
We are driven by championing Barossa’s premium and luxury wines – telling the story of our unique soils, climate and extraordinary old vines. Barossa and South Australia is home to the most significant collection of old vines in the world.
This recognition is only possible thanks to our passionate team, our growers and my family, whose dedication and commitment to Château Tanunda now sees us proudly represented in more than 35 countries worldwide.”
Château Tanunda’s ongoing global expansion and dedication to showcasing the Barossa’s heritage and premium wine quality were key factors in securing the award.
The accolade was announced on Friday night at a gala ceremony held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, where nearly 600 guests gathered to celebrate South Australia’s top-performing businesses and exporters.
