We are delighted to share that Château Tanunda has won the Great Wine Capitals Best Of Wine Tourism Award for South Australia last night in the ‘Wine Tourism Services’ category.
From being shortlisted among 11 South Australian finalists to taking home the award, it is a wonderful achievement for everyone at Château Tanunda.
Since 1890, Château Tanunda has stood at the heart of the Barossa. Today, we are proud to welcome visitors from Australia and around the world to experience our historic estate, our wines and the extraordinary Old Vine heritage of our region.
The Great Wine Capitals Best Of Wine Tourism Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in wine tourism across some of the world’s great wine regions. For us it reflects the passion and dedication that goes into creating an authentic and memorable Barossa experience; from our iconic Château, stunning gardens and grounds to our tours, tastings, hospitality and amazing wines.
Most importantly, it is a recognition of our people. Every team across the business plays a part in bringing the Château Tanunda experience to life, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. And the journey continues… As a South Australian winner, Château Tanunda will now progress to the Global Best Of Wine Tourism Awards, with the international winners announced in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, this October. Taking the Barossa and our Old Vine story to the global stage once again!
