The Everest Shiraz 2022 achieves a perfect 100 Points

The pinnacle of Château Tanunda winemaking has reached a new milestone, with The Everest Shiraz 2022 awarded a 100-point score by renowned wine critic Sam Kim of Wine Orbit.

This extraordinary recognition marks the first ever 100-point rating for a Château Tanunda wine, celebrating the depth, precision and power of this flagship Barossa Shiraz. Continuing the remarkable success of the range, The Everest Shiraz 2023 was also highly acclaimed, receiving 99 points.

In his review, Kim described the 2022 vintage as:

“A profound rendition, the seductive bouquet presents dark-fruit richness, warm spice, rich floral, smoked-meat, cedar and dark-chocolate characters. The concentrated palate exhibits exceptional depth and density, while remaining seamless and flowing, wonderfully enhanced by plush texture and beautifully woven tannins. Perfectly proportioned and structured with a sustained, gratifying finish.”
At its best: 2032–2052.
